The Gaited Horse publishes four times per year.

We are always happy to work with authors to develop their stories. Most often we ask to see your story before making any commitments, this is referred to asking for it "on spec"... literally, on speculation, to see if it is something we feel we can use or develop into an article for The Gaited Horse. So most often, you won't be given an issue-sensitive due date. But when we need your work for a specific issue, the following deadlines apply.

Printer Date: Feb 10
Ship Date: Feb 25
On Sale March 15 through June 14

SUMMER
Editorial: April 1
Printer Date: May 10 (2003, April 25)
Ship Date: May 25
On Sale June 15 through Sept. 14

FALL
Editorial: July 1
Printer Date: Aug 10
Ship Date: Aug 25
On Sale Sept 15 through Dec 14

WINTER
Editorial: Oct 1
Print Date: Nov 10
Ship Date: Nov 25
On Sale Dec 15 through March 14

TGH reserves the right to cancel, postpone, substitute or advance the order of editorial content depending on availability of text and photos, etc. Deadlines are non-negotiable.
